The spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, that it carried out an operation involving seven unmanned drones, which targeted vital installations deep within Saudi territory. He also said that the Yemeni (Armed) Forces are ready to carry out more operations.
“The General Command of the Armed Forces reiterates the readiness of the Armed Forces, with its various combat formations, to carry out further (highly) qualitative operations if the aggression, crimes, and violation of our national sovereignty continues. The Armed Forces warn the states carrying out the aggression, of the consequences of continuing the siege and the deliberate starvation of our dear and steadfast people”.
A military operation against Saudi targets was carried out by the Yemeni Army and the Popular Committees using unmanned drones. Seven unmanned drones targeted vital Saudi installations. Oil pumping stations in the east and west, that move Saudi oil from the eastern oilfields to the Yanbu port on the western coast, came under attack from explosive-packed unmanned drones, according to Saudi Energy Minister Khalid al-Falih. Due to these (attacks), the Saudi national petroleum company ARAMCO announced that it had halted the pumping of oil through the main pipeline.
Saudi Arabia was then warned that it must prepare its public opinion for the possibility that it may suffer new attacks. A member of the Political Council of Ansarullah, Mohammad al-Bakhiti, told Al-Mayadeen Tv that the operation represents a major turning point in responding to Saudi aggression.
“Ofcourse for Saudi Arabia to admit for the first time that (it was dealt) such blows confirms that it is a painful blow, one that cannot be hidden, considering the magnitude of these attacks, and it is upon them now to prepare Saudi public opinion to become acquainted with such blows, especially that since the beginning of the aggression they told (their people) that they can decide the war in a matter of days. The balance of power is now changing in favour of the national forces (of Yemen), whether in regard to (our ability to) strike deep into Saudi Arabia, or in regard to making progress on the various fronts internally and in the border regions”.
The economic and political ramifications (of these attacks) on Saudi Arabia, according to experts:
(Economist Mohammad Haydar): “With regards to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, this is something that can affect (global) oil trading, and it will affect Trump’s hopes that Saudi Arabia can provide the market with huge amounts of oil. (Trump) did not calculate that there are also opponents of Saudi Arabia who could also resort to the same (oil) card, because Saudi Arabia is in a state of war”.
(Military expert Elias Farhat): “This means that either all sides can pass through the (Strait of) Hormuz, or no one transports oil, neither through Hormuz, nor from Fujairah, nor from Yanbu”.
These unmanned drones have exceptional features which were demonstrated on the (battlefield):
(Lebanese Brigadier General Charles Abi Nader): “The most important element is their ability to manoeuvre and evade air defence systems. The flight range of these drones might not be so important when compared to their ability to evade air defence systems, radars, and monitoring and tracking mechanisms. This is the value and effectiveness of these planes”.
(Anasrullah Spokesman Mohammad Abd al-Salam): “We are entering into a strategic phase. Did not seven unmanned drones fly thousands of kilometres and strike targets deep within (Saudi Arabia)? This is a strategic decision (that has been taken) and a qualitative turning point, whether regarding the number, the manner, and the timing, and how it surprised the enemy completely. Now, a new phase of escalation has begun against the escalation of the Saudi side, so if they continue with their aggression, then we will not stop research, production, and tireless work with all available capabilities to confront this aggression and improve (our ability) to respond.”.
