In the Name of God the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Surely we belong to God, and to Him we will return
Your eminence, dear Ayatollah Sayyed Ali al-Khamenei (may your life be prolonged)
Peace be upon you and God’s mercy and blessings
The news of the martyrdom of the great General Hajj Qasim Soleimani – may God have mercy upon him – has deeply aggrieved us.
Indeed the unparalleled role of (Soleimani) during the (several past) years of war against Daesh in Iraq cannot be forgotten.
I send my consolations over the loss of this dear martyr to your eminence, to his respected children and family, and to the honourable Iranian nation, and especially the dear people of Kerman, and I ask God the Gracious to raise the (spiritual) status of (martyr Soleimani), and that He gift his family with outstanding patience and great (heavenly) rewards.
